About me · Resume
Freelance web developer, programming since 1999, for agencies and studios.
I've been programming since 1999, now as a freelancer: I've built websites, online stores and applications, mostly for agencies and studios, and taught at university (IED) and ran online courses.

Computers and programming have been a passion from the start. I'm self-taught: I learned from books, back when online resources were less accessible than today, spending sleepless nights in front of the screen.
I started out working in graphic design, and that's where my way of programming comes from: even when I write code, I keep looking at graphics and at how things appear. After various experiences I became a front-end developer.
After a few years in companies I realised my way of working was to take on projects on my own, and I became a freelancer. I chose to work mainly with agencies and studios: major projects where my job is to take the design online the way it was conceived.
After a long experience with WordPress I moved to JavaScript, with React and Vue: they also let me build apps and management systems that talk to RESTful API services.
Today I keep studying, and I code using artificial intelligence as a working tool, while keeping control of technical choices and the code.

From 56k modems to artificial intelligence, I've followed the evolution of the web and worked with
The first pages
Hand-written HTML, tables, the first company sites and the first emails. You learned by building and every byte counted.
The web becomes business
Database-driven sites, the spread of online stores and CMSs, the growth of SEO and search engines. The web reaches every company.
Mobile and social
Responsive sites, smartphones, social networks, web applications and a growing spread of the APIs that connect services.
Apps, cloud and AI
Fast applications, cloud infrastructure, maps and integrations, 3D in the browser and artificial intelligence in business processes.
Teaching
Code gets written. And taught.
From the lecturer's desk at IED to online courses, I've passed the craft on to people about to build tomorrow's web. Teaching made me clearer with clients too: every technical choice, put in plain words.

Lecturer at IED
I've taught at IED (Istituto Europeo di Design), bringing real-project experience into the classroom for students training as digital professionals.
Online
Online courses
I've run online courses for people who want to learn to build for the web, with a hands-on approach and no jargon. Among the platforms: Musa Formazione.
